STAPPLE's behaviour support course provides family members and carers of individuals with autism the necessary skills to reflect on their current situation and, using proven strategies, to plan together and move forward to a better future; one where the challenging behaviour of an individual is appropriately supported and ultimately reduced. .

Our services include one-day courses in behaviour support techniques including physical guidance, support and breakaway techniques. We also offer in-home SAFE assessments (Supportive And Functional Environment) to highlight any potential environmental triggers to behaviour that challenges and other risk areas. .

All potential applicants to the course must complete a pre-course needs assessment prior to being accepted. .

Aimed at: Adolescent , Adult , Adult sibling, Child , Child/adolescent sibling, Parent/carer of a child, Parent/carer of an adult, Partner
