Stoke Lodge is a large, detached house, set in a cul-de-sac just one mile away from Basingstoke town centre. The home provides support for nine adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs. The home has two ground floor single bedrooms and seven first floor single bedrooms, all with en suite facilities, plus two additional separate bathrooms. Further accommodation includes a spacious lounge area, large dining room, a quiet, relaxation lounge, a large, modern kitchen, separate laundry/utility room and a well designed sensory room. A set of french doors leads from the lounge area to the large, spacious and safe garden. We aim to maintain a supportive and stimulating environment; providing high standards of individual care designed to meet specific needs. We promote self-help and community integration by encouraging independence and personal achievement in living skills, social development, communication and education, whilst at the same time preserving and upholding self-determination, privacy and dignity. Referrals can be made by a Social Worker/Care Manager or directly from parents themselves. However, before assessment can take place the Care Manager acting on behalf of the service user must be consulted.
