Mission statement - Every parent wants the best education for their children but if your child has special educational needs or disability this can seem very challenging. Parents sometimes feel disheartened and disempowered in the face of jargon, procedures and policies and apparent lack of progress. Sunderland SEND Information, Advice and Support service / Parent Partnership Service provides parents and carers, as well as professionals with impartial and up to date advice, information and support to help with this process. Our aim is to support parents so that they can play an active role in their child's education and feel that they are working in partnership with the school and other professionals. We can also provide information, support and advice to children and young people up to the age of 25 so that they can make informed choices about their education.
