Sycamore Trust

Main information

Type of service: Befriending/mentoring

The Sycamore Trust runs a Befriending Project, a specialised service tailored to meet the individual young person's needs. This could be going out into the community once a week to access an activity or visiting in the home, building the young person's trust to take small steps to being less isolated. This service is provided in four boroughs: Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest.

Volunteers are accepted to become befrienders, given training and matched to a young person needing a befriender.

If you would like a befriender for your young person or would like to become a befriender, please contact Amanda Heary.
