Autism Service Directory

Taunton - Greenway Road

Achieve together

Main information

Type of service: Residential services

Greenway Road is a residential service for adults aged 18+ with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions and complex needs including behaviours that may challenge. The service uses a person-centred planning approach tailored towards individual needs and focused on outcomes. People will be supported to be as independent as possible and will work with staff to achieve their goals and aspirations. They will be supported to take part in meaningful activities that enrich their lives, and staff will work closely with health care professionals, families and the individual to deliver the best care possible.

There will be a focus on embedding a visual and total communication culture for those that may need more specialist support, alongside person-centred active support with staff receiving training and support from our clinical team to help achieve this. The service will see every aspect of a person’s daily life as a potential learning opportunity, working collaboratively with an individual using preferred communication approaches in areas that might include personal care, cooking, shopping, domestic tasks and in planning individual recreational and developmental activities.
