Type of service: Local groups, Social groups

The Avenue: A group run by families for families. The group meets every 1st Friday 9.30am-11.30am and every 3rd Tuesday 12.30pm-2.30pm of each month. We have a network of parents who understand the highs and lows of living with a child with autism. We have a range of information available on autism plus sample sensory/autism spectrum disorder (ASD) aids and most of all you can have a cup of tea and share experiences, make friends, swap tips and ideas and feel supported and understood. Children are welcome and there are toys available for them to play with. Group available on Twitter: @TheAvenueASD. We have an additional support group which is on the last Monday evening of the month from 6.30pm-7.30pm.

Aimed at: Parent/carer of a child, Parent/carer of a young person
