The Disability Resource Centre is a registered charity and is managed and run by people with disabilities. The Centre enables people with disabilities, older people, their families, carers, friends and associated professionals throughout all of Bedfordshire and Luton to have easy access to information, equipment and services. The premises are fully accessible and there are good parking facilities with ample Blue Badge parking. The information services has details on a wide range of national and local disability topics including holidays, transport, sport and leisure, local support groups and benefits. The service is available: 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. The equipment display area provides the opportunity to see and try out equipment, no appointment necessary. For more complex issues or where a one-to-one session is preferred an appointment can be made with the equipment display manager. There is no need for a referral and no charge is made. Equipment can now be bought at competitve prices with the adivce of fully trained equipment advisors. Wheelchair hire is also available.
