The Equivalent Project CIC
Main information
Type of service: Interventions and therapies
The Equivalent Project provides Equine Facilitated Learning, Development and Therapy for clients aged 7+. EFL is highly effective for improving mental health and reducing anxiety by helping individuals identify some of the personal challenges they may be facing. Horses are incredible beings who mirror each other and us humans, and by doing so, they can teach us so much about ourselves and how others perceive us. Horses have a profound calming and grounding effect on people, which when combined with EFL, offers a very gentle, supportive approach to process the inner workings of our minds, as well as working to improve communication, empathy, interpersonal and social skills, self care and so much more! Our services are designed for people aged 7+ who are struggling with their mental wellbeing, finding school difficult or those needing an alternative provision, as well as both children and adults with Autism and ADHD. We are part of the Somerset Alternative Provision Directory, so if you are looking for somewhere for your young person with an EHCP in place, we are able to offer our tailored services. Our services are available to all students within travelling distance to our site near Frome, Somerset.
