The Loddon School

Sherfield-on-Loddon

Main information

Type of service: Residential schools, Schools

The Loddon School is a residential school supporting children and young people who experience complex learning needs, high levels of anxiety and significant communication difficulties, which give rise to their use of challenging behaviour to get their message across. Our approach is positive and non-aversive and focuses on replacing unwanted behaviours with alternative skills. We do not have classrooms as our students have found such environments a challenge, but students successfully learn skills for life in natural settings, on site and in the community, through highly motivating activities.
