The Teddy Bear Foundation

Glasgow

Main information

Type of service: Grant giving organisations

Since its inception in 2005, the Teddy Bear Foundation has acted as a kind of 'fairy godfather' to schools and organisations which work with children with additional support needs. If there is a funding gap for, say, bicycles or an adventure weekend away in the countryside, the Teddy Bear Foundation steps in to provide the cash. So far, it has spent close to £500,000 providing trips to Euro Disney, riding lessons, massage sessions and turning barren school land into sensory gardens. Kids who found it difficult to communicate have received laptop computers. Please email us if you are interested in applying for funds.
