Main information

Type of service: Day services, Outreach

The Way Forward Programme was formed to promote the welfare and development opportunities for people with learning and physical disabilities and others who need support to maintain good mental health on the Isle of Wight. The Way Forward Programme is determined to continue to develop high standards of support for people with a disability across the Island by allowing people the opportunity to achieve their goals, grow in independence, confidence and build on self esteem. We have a dedicated staff team who are always looking for new and exciting experiences for people to become involved in and will provide each individual with the highest standard of care and support. The Way Forward staff think that everyone with a disability should have a say in how their services are run and what opportunites are available to them, we run a weekly forum where individuals are consulted as to what activities they would like to see available to them. As a result the programme is very much user lead and we feel this is important, we are always looking at ways to improve our service, all of the activities you will see while browsing this web site have been chosen by the people using the service.
