A weekly music group for pre-school children who have communication difficulties and may find it hard to take part in other community activities. The Group offers: a variety of songs and instruments; the opportunity to dance, run and have fun in a safe environment; lots of repetition balanced with plenty of variation to help with communication and social development; opportunities for all the children to gain confidence and skills at their own pace. The group is led by two experienced pre-school music leaders, one of whom trained as a speech and language therapist. They utilise clear simple language, supported by Makaton signs and symbols. The group is held on Wednesday afternoons from 1:15pm to 2:15pm and costs £3 per session with a £6 annual club membership fee. Please note that advance booking is essential..
