Trinity School, Rochester is a Department for Education (DfE) registered special school for students with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), severe and profound learning difficulties (SpLD), dyslexia, dyspraxia and speech, language & communication (SLC) difficulties. Taught in small groups with students within this range of need, the school provides a balanced curriculum leading to General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE)/National Certificates. All students are anticipated to enter College at 16 or 18+ years. Speech and language therapy is integrated into the daily curriculum, with Life Skills, language development and academic attainment forming the bedrock of the school's provision. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. Volunteers are always subject to full, enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check and suitability. Other interventions, approaches and programmes offered by the school are mentoring and aspects of other specific interventions. Other disabilities catered for by the school are dyscalculia, speech language and communication, and central auditory processing disorder (CAPD).
