Main information
Type of service: Counsellor
The combination of my own life experiences and my work life have given me a wealth of experience that has developed my understanding of how individuals may feel in the world we live in. I have personal experience of understanding autism and feel I am apply this in a non-bias way in counselling. I believe we are the experts of our own lives but sometimes we allow past events or influences of our environments to alter our true self. I offer a safe environment to provide a listening ear and to empower you to explore your inner self and to encourage you to get to where you want to be. My role is to facilitate the exploration of your feelings and to support you in working towards any changes that you have decided you would like to make. I understand that you may not know what support you need, what changes you want to happen or why you are feeling the way you do. My role is to listen and help you understand why you have those questions and if possible, help you answer them. Therapy is not a quick fix, however, I would like to think that the work I do would allow you for 50 minutes each week to feel heard in the time you are with me and feel empowered and supported to face the week ahead.
I offer online (zoom) and telephone counselling, on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Choosing the right counsellor for you is important on the effectiveness of therapy, therefore, I offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation so I can assess your needs and you can see how you feel talking to me.
