Warrington SEND Information Advice and Support Service

Warrington Borough Council

Main information

Type of service: Family support and information services, Parent partnerships, Parent partnerships

Warrington SEND Information Advice and Support Service helps parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs up to the age of 25. Most children will move through pre-school and school without any major problems, but some children, at certain times, may have difficulties in learning. This service can also help young people with special educational needs going to further education and other aspects of transition to adult services. If you have concerns or worries, we may be able to help. We can explain:

  • How the education system works;
  • What early education providers and schools can do to help your child;
  • What local authorities and other services can do to help your child;
  • Your rights and your child's rights;

We work in partnership with parents, schools our two local authorities and other service providers.
