Autism Service Directory

Well Farmhouse & Cottage, North Cornwall

Holsworthy

Main information

Type of service: Holidays

Well Farmhouse and adjoining Well Farm Cottage are situated on the edge of quiet village in the peaceful upper Tamar Valley on the Devon/North Cornwall Border. Well Farmhouse has four bedrooms and sleeps ten (with one bedroom and toilet downstairs). The cottage has two bedrooms and sleeps four plus bed settee. Well Farmhouse has a large enclosed lawned garden and the Cottage has a grass area adjoining the courtyard. Guests with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are welcome (we have personal experience of holidaying with our son with autism). We’ll try to accommodate specific needs where possible. Both properties have a private drive in an off-road location and are safe for children. Electricity, free wi-fi, children’s play area, barbeque and patio furniture are included. There is access to North Cornwall coast, beaches, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Eden Project and visitor attractions, all within driving distance. Country walks, fishing, swimming and traditional village pubs are all available locally. A local surf school is also an option, and offers surf lessons for people with an ASD. We developed an indoor playroom in autumn 2014. As for Well Farmhouse & Cottage, we are developing an indoor playroom.
