We have begun developing and offering a programme to support people with additional needs access the Zoo depending on their needs. Our purple programme consists of Relaxed Openings, which allows people with additional needs access to Early Opening tickets (entering the Zoo at 9am rather than at 10am to visit specific areas in a quieter atmosphere and access to events running at quieter times designated for people with additional needs. We also have a Penguin Pass, which can be downloaded directly from our website, which allows visitors with additional needs to queue hop any queues that they come across on their visit. We also offer specific Accessibility tickets for our events to support people taking part in our events such as Meet Santa or Sense-sational Festival, which is a fun event focused on supporting visitors with additional needs, specifically learning difficulties, get closer to nature in our Zoo.
