We are a Lambeth funded provision for primary aged pupils with a statement for autism as their primary need. We currently cater to children from Reception to Year 2, and will grow each year to eventually cater to Reception to Year 6 children. We use the Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped Children (TEACCH) approach, (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, Transactional Support (SCERTS), and Attention Autism. We use a variety of visual systems including (Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), timetables, and Social Stories. Families looking for a place at Aurora House need to contact Lambeth special educational needs (SEN), who will support families with the application process. Families are welcome to visit the centre to see our provision. The age range is currently Reception to Year 2, expanding each year to eventually take all primary ages.
