Bear Road has been remodelled and refurbished to create a bespoke registered care setting providing accommodation and support for people with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). Some individuals may also have complex learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge.                                                                                   

The service has been specially designed and developed taking into consideration best practice approaches in supporting individuals with PWS working in collaboration with individuals, their families and our specialist PWS Outreach team to ensure the accommodation and support will meet the bespoke needs of every individual living there.

Located in Hanworth in the London Borough of Hounslow, this two-storey house has four en-suite bedrooms, two of which have separate lounge areas, as well as a bedroom and bathroom. Design features also include one communal kitchen to enable food to be restricted to a designated area where individuals will be supported to prepare calorie-controlled meals that support them to maintain a healthy lifestyle. There is also a separate communal dining room, two separate lounge areas and a large garden.

Individuals are encouraged to be a part of their local community and to enjoy leisure and social activities of their choice. Nearby Hounslow has many amenities and there are good transport links nearby, the service also has their own car.

We place great importance on helping people learn new skills by encouraging them to take an active interest in the running of the home with their own areas of responsibility. Friends and family are always welcome to visit and join in events and activities.
