Courtwick is a residential service set in the charming, rural village of Wick, close to the seaside town of Littlehampton and supports adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.

Spread across four floors, this Grade II listed building is within well-kept, large grounds with many trees and wildlife and provides a caring, supportive setting. Some individuals may also have behaviours which others may find challenging.

With good local transport links to nearby Littlehampton and its beach and amenities, as well as transport provided by the home, individuals are supported to access their local community to do the things they enjoy. The team also encourage them to develop new skills and hobbies and to achieve the goals that are important to them. Some individuals have also been supported to go on holiday.

Lots of events and activities take place within the home such as discos and parties which the individuals living there enjoy organising. Friends and family are always welcome to visit and join in such events.

Great importance is placed on learning new skills and helping everyone to take an active interest in the running of the home where they have their own responsibilities. This helps improve daily living skills and confidence and as greater independence is achieved, support plans are updated with the individual to maximise their choices and opportunities.

Where challenging behaviours are present, the team work with our in-house Positive Behaviour Intervention Team who provide dedicated Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
