Fresh Opportunities is a service for adults (16+) with a diagnosis of autism. The programme is funded by Birmingham City Council and delivered by Autism West Midlands. What can you expect from the Fresh Opportunities service?

  • You'll learn more about autism
  • You'll be supported to identify your own needs and understand how autism affects you
  • You'll have the chance to meet others with autism and take part in social activities
  • You'll find out about services and activities available to you

We are a team of specialist professionals who understand autism. We will work with you to ensure that the support and opportunities you access are appropriate to you. We take a person-centred approach and celebrate the uniqueness, talents and skills of each individual we support. What will the support include?

  • Face to face sessions with a trained advisor
  • A personalised action plan
  • Support to find and access other organisations and the support they offer
  • Advice and guidance to improve your wellbeing
  • The chance to learn new skills and develop hobbies
  • The opportunity to attend social activities and groups
  • Workshops for you, your friends and your family to learn more about your autism
  • Opportunities to support others with autism (mentoring)

To access the support you need: To have been diagnosed with autism; To be over 16; To live in Birmingham; and, To be willing and motivated to engage.
