Main information
Type of service: Residential services
Gretton House is located in the country village of Gretton, Northamptonshire and is a specialist residential service supporting adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). Gretton is a very homely grade II listed Manor House built in the mid-1800s providing accommodation for 16 individuals. Bedrooms are spread across 3 floors and there is a stair lift available for individuals with limited mobility.
The service also benefits from a landscaped garden to the rear of the property with spectacular views across the Welland valley. Individuals we support are encouraged to help with the upkeep of the garden.
Our friendly, supportive team take pride in encouraging individuals to develop their daily living skills, such as cleaning their rooms and helping out in the kitchen to prepare healthy snacks. There’s always lots to do around Gretton especially in the large activity room where the focus is on fun and inclusion. Activities include arts and crafts, music and dance classes, music workshops, drama classes and much more.
Individuals can enjoy the cinema, bowling, swimming and the gym in the nearby town of Corby and try new hobbies and experiences such as horse riding. They are also encouraged to attend work placements or volunteer at local charity shops and attend courses at the local college as they gain more independence.
