Harvey Lane is a residential service close to Norwich City Centre for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. The service also supports people who express behaviours which others might find challenging.

With eight en-suite bedrooms, all on one level, the home is also suitable for people who use a wheelchair.

Harvey Lane provides a caring, supportive environment and a person-centred approach to support individuals to achieve their goals and live their life the way they want to.

The focus is on encouraging greater independence and increasing confidence with daily living skills, such as; shopping, cooking and budgeting, so that individuals can take control of as many aspects of their lives as they feel able to.

The friendly team encourage people living at Harvey Lane to get out and about in their local community. Being close to Norwich City Centre and all its leisure, historical and social amenities, they can enjoy many activities which match their interests. These include swimming, shopping, bowling, music groups, going to football matches and trips farther afield.

There are also regular activities within the home such as film and theme nights, BBQs and cooking nights to support social inclusion and develop friendships.

Our team place key emphasis on a successful transition programme, where key workers work closely with the individual and their family to produce person-centred support plans.

If  the individual expresses behaviours that challenge, our in-house Positive Behaviour Intervention team will provide individualised support strategies.
