Holland House is situated in the old village of Corby, Northamptonshire and provides a specialist residential service for adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). Recently refurbished, the service provides a comfortable home for four individuals. All bedrooms are en-suite and there is a pleasant lounge, dinning room and outdoor seating area.

With a person centred approach, the focus is very much on supporting individual’s bespoke needs and helping them to live a meaningful, fulfilling life. The team actively encourage people to enjoy activities and hobbies of their choice within the local community, as independently as possible. This includes attending the gym, swimming pool, cinema, ten pin bowling and being part of the community.

There are good links to public transport with a train station and bus route a short walk away and the service also has its own transport.

Individuals are involved in the running of the home whether it be re-decorating, helping with the weekly shopping or suggesting menu choices.

Developing daily living skills such as cooking and cleaning is also a key focus to help build confidence and greater independence and the team also support people to manage their finances.

Local work and volunteer opportunities are actively encouraged and many individuals also actively raise funds for local charities.

There are regular parties and open days at Holland House, which individuals enjoy planning and hosting.

Family and friends always receive a warm welcome.
