Leofric Villa is our  residential service in Wednesbury, Sandwell. Registered with nursing input, the specialist service is designed to support adults who have a learning disability, who may be autistic and/or have other associated complex needs, including behaviours that can challenge. The service is also suitable for those seeking to step down from secure settings such as hospital environments, or who may be seeking a least restrictive community-based option with enhanced support.

Leofric is located in a quiet cul-de-sac close to the heart of Wednesbury in the West Midlands, consisting of eight large self-contained flats set across three floors. Some of the flats have environmental risk mitigation measures included to accommodate a wide variety of needs and three of the flats have level access. The flats have also been designed to minimise the risk of compatibility issues where two of the flats have their own external entrance.

The setting includes a number of features that are helpful to people who are highly sensitive to light and noise and includes liminal spaces. It also employs the latest assistive technology to help maximise individuals’ independence and ensure that all members of the support team can provide additional support at short notice. The service also includes a nursing element, as well as a focus on Positive Behaviour Support.

In easy walking distance of all important local amenities and public transport networks, its location provides an excellent opportunity for individuals to have a strong community presence and build social networks.
