Lothian Autistic Society - Siblings Club

Lothian Autistic Society

Main information

Type of service: Play and leisure

Lothian Autistic Society's Siblings Club allows brothers and/or sisters living with a young family member on the autism spectrum, the opportunity to meet others in a similar situation in a relaxed and recreational setting. The benefits to this are that it can help reduce a sibling's sense of isolation knowing that there are others who share the special joys and challenges that they experience. The casual atmosphere and recreational activities promote informal sharing and friendships among participants. Sibling Club Membership is exclusive to siblings who must be aged 7 - 18 years and still in full time education. Members are offered access to activities free of charge, however, parents/carers must pay for their own admission, where required. Meets monthly.
