Parvale House is a large, double fronted, two storey property located in Kettering, Northamptonshire providing a specialist residential service for adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). With a friendly, family atmosphere, the service supports six individuals. There is a spacious lounge and dining room and all bedrooms are en-suite. With a large garden and paved seating area, there are plenty of opportunities to relax outdoors and enjoy social occasions.

With a person centred approach, the focus is very much on supporting individual’s bespoke needs and helping them to live a meaningful, fulfilling life in the local community.

The service has its own transport, a bus stop outside and a local train station so individuals can enjoy the local gym and swimming pool and lots of other activities of their choice.

The dedicated team also support individuals to become more independent, developing daily living skills such as cleaning and cooking and having their own areas of responsibility. They are also  encouraged to seek work and volunteer opportunities which include the local kennels, church, charity shops and elderly care homes which builds self esteem.

There are regular activities at Parvale including arts and crafts, in house bingo and friends and family are always welcome. Individuals also attend regular informal meetings to discuss all aspects of their home. Parvale was the first service in the UK to support adults exclusively with PWS.
