The Heathers is a welcoming, friendly residential service for individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs, including mental health issues and dementia. Split across two semi-detached houses, The Heathers offers spacious accommodation in a friendly, welcoming setting.

There are twelve en-suite bedrooms, two large pleasant communal areas overlooking the front garden, two kitchen dinners and a lovely courtyard garden with seating area.

Supported by a friendly team, the focus is on helping individuals to become as independent as possible. Each person living at The Heathers has a person centred support plan which outlines how they would like to be supported, tailored to their needs and abilities and the goals that are important to them.

Individuals are actively encouraged to be part of their local community and enjoy leisure and social activities in nearby Kettering and to seek local work opportunities.

There are good local transport links nearby and also transport facilities on site so individuals can join activities of their choice as much as they wish to.

We place great importance on helping people learn new skills and to take an active interest in the running of the home with their own areas of responsibility such as cleaning, washing and preparing and cooking meals.

This helps improve daily living skills and as greater independence is achieved support plans are updated to ensure we are maximising people’s choices and opportunities.

Many events and activities take place in the home where family and friends always receive a very warm welcome.
