Wallace Crescent

Consensus Support

Main information

Type of service: Residential services

Wallace Crescent is a modern residential service close to the towns of Sutton and Carshalton. Suitable for adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues and complex needs, the service provides eight, one bedroom flats. Some individuals may also have behaviours which others may find challenging.

Spread across three floors, there is a caring, nurturing and positive atmosphere at Wallace Crescent. The friendly team support individuals to live as independently as possible, whilst providing the bespoke support they need.

Flats are designed to suit individual needs;  six have their own kitchen, lounge and bedroom whilst the other two are more open plan. With a person-centred approach, the focus is on helping people achieve their goals and aspirations and to live their life in the way they wish.

The people living at Wallace Crescent are encouraged to develop their daily living skills, such as preparing their own meals, shopping and cleaning to help them achieve greater independence.

With good transport links and local amenities, individuals can enjoy many leisure and social opportunities such as shopping, swimming, cycling and going to the gym, as well as many other activities. Some people attend the local college to learn new skills and others enjoy local work opportunities leading to new friendships and greater confidence.

The team ensure that transition into the service goes as smoothly as possible so individuals can feel settled, safe and secure. Where challenging behaviours are present, the team work closely with our Positive Behaviour Intervention team.
