Whiteheathers in Clacton-on-sea is a modern five bedroom bungalow providing a homely residential service for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. Some of the people living at Whiteheathers may also express behaviours which others might find challenging.

Whiteheathers has scenic panoramic views and a well appointed garden and patio. There is a caring, supportive, positive environment and the team ensure a flexible and proactive approach to meet the needs of the individuals they support and help them to reach their full potential.

The focus is very much on inclusion and supporting people to lead a meaningful, fulfilling life. Person centred goals and achievements, big and small, are always encouraged as is greater independence and choice on a daily basis.

Individuals are encouraged to do as much as possible for themselves in all aspects of daily living to increase confidence and support greater independence.

With good transport links to Colchester and Clacton and transport facilities on site, the team support individuals to enjoy local leisure and social activities which match their interests and goals.

Support plans are regularly reviewed to ensure that the people we support are living their life in the way they wish to and enjoying activities of their choice.

Transition into the home is carefully planned at the individual’s own pace and we encourage other people living there to share their experiences. Visits from friends and family are actively encouraged.
