Autistic Spectrum Conditions Training Programme

Leicestershire County Council

Main information

Type of service: Training providers, Training providers

The National Autism Strategy 2010 "Fulfilling and Rewarding Lives" makes it clear that the most fundamental step towards improving services for adults with autism is to increase awareness and understanding of autism across all public services. Increasing this understanding will provide the foundation for improving the way services are provided, planned and delivered. Leicestershire County Council have developed a free training programme (deposit returned on attendance of training) aimed at staff who have varying degrees of contact with people with Autism and their carers. Tier A is a basic awareness e-learning package, while Tiers B and C are more detailed one day courses.
